Event history by time and date: Settings, changes and status messages of the controller and the safety devices are saved by time and date.
The GIGAcontrol A automatically detects the frequency converter and the module for the two way traffic control. The menu only opens in the controller if the products are connected. This ensures that the customer does not see superfluous menus and can easily set the required function.
Second shut-off path in accordance with EN 60335-1: As standard, the controller is equipped with a second shut-off path which guarantees safe shut-off of the operator at any time.
The partial opening function of the GIGAcontrol A is designed for easy operation with the cover buttons. It is not necessary to switch over or change the controller programming. When partial opening is set and the button is pressed, the door moves to the position set by the customer; when the button is pressed again, it opens fully. The OPEN button must be pressed twice in order to open the door fully. Because it is often necessary to have the door fully open when using forklifts, it opens fully when the handheld transmitter (channel 1) is pressed, while the partial opening function is on channel 2*.
2 connections each for optical safety contact strip, 8.2 kOhm or air wave switch. All connections are evaluated separately. The evaluation can be freely allocated to the direction of travel. The "partial-full reversion" and "stop" when the safety device is triggered can be selected as desired.
At the factory, in each case, 10 different profiles for presetting of the operating parameters and for a frequency converter can be saved in the control unit. This allows the customer to preset various functions along with the operating mode, behaviour of the safety devices etc. Then, at installation, it is only necessary to set the end positions and select the profile. A company name with telephone number can also be saved to show the customer's contact person on the display when the next service is due.
Detection of motor direction and adjustment. The direction of rotation of the motor can easily be adjusted in the menu on installation.
The control unit is programmed via a password-protected menu using the triplex sensing device on the control unit housing. With the GIGAcontrol A, all settings and changes can be made with the triplex sensing device without having to open the housing. A second password can be entered to allow operation using a shortened menu: The menu items not relevant for initial operation are hidden.
Changes in the direction of rotation of the motor, e.g. by subsequent hard wiring, can easily be adjusted with the GIGAcontrol A via the controls.
Automatic end position correction If the door run-on time changes, e.g. as a result of temperature fluctuations, changes in the spring tension of sectional doors, sluggishness as a result of mechanical damage, the automatic end position correction function adjusts the stopping distance to stop the door at the set end position.
